Señor Presidente,
Hermano Canciller Wang Yi,
1. En nombre del Pueblo y Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional de Nicaragua, felicitamos a la República Popular China y a nuestro hermano Canciller Wang Yi por la exitosa Presidencia del Consejo de Seguridad este mes. Nuestro agradecimiento también por la convocatoria de este debate, oportuno y profundamente necesario en el momento crítico que atraviesa la humanidad.
Señor Presidente,
2. La Carta de las Naciones Unidas, suscrita hace más de ocho décadas, sigue siendo el instrumento jurídico, necesario para cumplir, con sus principios y propósitos, la Paz y Seguridades Internacionales, la convivencia pacífica entre naciones y la igualdad soberana de los Estados.
3. Hoy, su vigencia efectiva se ve desafiada de manera sistemática por las prácticas y medidas de quienes intentan subordinarla a sus agendas e intereses hegemónicos que atentan directamente contra la paz, el desarrollo y la seguridad de nuestros pueblos.
4. La pobreza, las guerras, el cambio climático, y de manera particular, la imposición de las ilegales medidas coercitivas unilaterales, que constituyen crímenes de lesa humanidad, atentan contra el derecho al desarrollo, la salud, la educación, la alimentación y la vida misma de pueblos enteros. Estas medidas son el mayor obstáculo para la implementación de la Agenda 2030 y la erradicación de la pobreza.
5. Nicaragua basada en los principios y espíritu del Derecho Internacional exige, con total autoridad, la eliminación total e incondicional de todas las medidas coercitivas unilaterales.
Señor Presidente,
6. Ante estas realidades, los pueblos resisten y avanzan hacia el mundo multipolar y policéntrico que sigue desarrollándose cada vez con más ahínco y fuerza.
7. Las políticas hegemónicas pierden sus fundamentos y se debilitan. Surgen alternativas de los pueblos y para los pueblos, con nuevos mecanismos de integración y cooperación. Estamos presenciando el nacimiento de una era basada en la solidaridad y la lucha de todos nuestros pueblos frente a las viejas y nuevas formas de imposición y agresión.
8. Nicaragua desea rendir un reconocimiento fraterno a la República Popular China, a todos sus modelos de integración global: la iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta, la Iniciativa para el Desarrollo Global, la Iniciativa para la Seguridad Global, entre muchas más, que ofrecen a los países en desarrollo mecanismos de cooperación basados en el respeto a la soberanía, la no interferencia en asuntos internos y la ausencia total de condicionalidades políticas o de cualquier otro tipo.
9. Nicaragua valora profundamente esta solidaridad práctica, que constituye un ejemplo viviente de cómo debe funcionar la cooperación internacional conforme a los principios de la Carta. Reconocemos y agradecemos a la República Popular China, un hermano confiable, solidario y firme defensor del Sur Global.

10. Nicaragua reafirma su compromiso inquebrantable con los propósitos y principios de la Carta, la igualdad soberana de los Estados, la no intervención en asuntos internos, la solución pacífica de controversias y el respeto a la autodeterminación de los pueblos, pilares fundamentales para el desarrollo armónico de las naciones.
11. Expresamos nuestra congruente y consecuente Hermandad y Solidaridad con Cuba.
12. Nos sumamos a la urgencia de hacer valer la Decisión irrevocable de los Pueblos del Mundo, de vivir en Seguridad, Paz, Consideración Absoluta y Buena Voluntad, y particularmente, en los Principios de la Declaración que sostenemos de Nuestramérica-Caribeña como Zona invariable de Paz y Desarrollo.
13. La paz y el multilateralismo son principios fundamentales y no negociables que se reflejan en todas nuestras relaciones internacionales y en nuestros aportes en los asuntos de Naciones Unidas y del sistema multilateral.
Señor Presidente,
14. Naciones Unidas tiene un papel histórico ineludible: refundarse, democratizarse, transformarse. Este Consejo y Naciones Unidas debe actuar en beneficio de los pueblos.
15. Es vital una cultura de paz, de respeto y justicia, sin amenazas o uso de la fuerza, sin injerencias externas, y cultivando la estabilidad, el buen vivir y la dignidad de los pueblos, sin excepción.
16. Nicaragua seguirá exigiendo el respeto de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, el Derecho Internacional, La Soberanía, la no injerencia en los asuntos internos de los Estados, el derecho inalienable a la autodeterminación y sobre todo y ante todo el derecho de todos los Pueblos a vivir en Paz.

Mr. President,
Brother Chancellor Wang Yi,
1. On behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua, we congratulate the People's Republic of China and our brother Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the successful presidency of the Security Council this month. We are also grateful for the convening of this debate, which is timely and deeply necessary at this critical moment humanity is undergoing.
Mr. President,
2. The Charter of the United Nations, signed more than eight decades ago, remains the legal instrument necessary to fulfill, with its principles and purposes, international Peace and Security, peaceful coexistence among nations and the sovereign equality of States.
3. Today, its effective validity is systematically challenged by the practices and measures of those who try to subordinate it to their hegemonic agendas and interests which directly threaten the peace, development and security of our Peoples.
4. Poverty, wars, climate change, and in particular the imposition of illegal unilateral coercive measures, which constitute crimes against humanity, threaten the right to development, health, education, food and the very life of entire peoples. These measures are the biggest obstacle to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the eradication of Poverty.
5. Nicaragua, based on the principles and spirit of international law, demands, with complete authority, the total and unconditional elimination of all unilateral coercive measures.
Mr. President,
6. In the face of these realities, the Peoples resist and advance towards the multipolar and polycentric world which continues to develop more and more assiduously and forcefully.
7. Hegemonic policies lose their foundations and weaken. Alternatives are emerging from the Peoples and for the Peoples, with new mechanisms of integration and cooperation. We are witnessing the birth of an era based on solidarity and the struggle of all our Peoples against old and new forms of imposition and aggression.
8. Nicaragua wishes to pay fraternal recognition to the People's Republic of China, to all its models of global integration: the Belt and Road initiative, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, among various others, which offer developing countries mechanisms for cooperation based on respect for sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs and with the total absence of political or any other conditionalities.
9. Nicaragua deeply values this practical solidarity, which constitutes a living example of how international cooperation should work in accordance with the principles of the Charter. We acknowledge and thank the People's Republic of China as reliable, supportive, fraternal and a firm defender of the Global South.
Mr. President
10. Nicaragua reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter, the sovereign equality of States, non-intervention in internal affairs, the peaceful settlement of disputes and respect for the self-determination of peoples as the fundamental pillars for the harmonious development of nations.
11. We express our constant and consistent Brother and Sisterhood and Solidarity with Cuba.
12. We too stress the urgency of asserting the irrevocable Decision of the Peoples of the World to live in Security, Peace, Absolute Consideration and Goodwill and, particularly, in accordance with the Principles of the Declaration of Our America-Caribbean as an irrevocable Zone of Peace and Development, which we support.
13. Peace and multilateralism are fundamental and non-negotiable principles reflected in all our international relations and in our contributions to the affairs of the United Nations and the multilateral system.
Mr. President,
14. The United Nations has an inescapable historical role: to refound itself, to democratize, to transform. This Council and the United Nations must act for the benefit of Peoples.
15. A culture of peace, respect and justice is vital, without threats or the use of force, without external interference, while cultivating stability, good living and the dignity of Peoples, without exception.
16. Nicaragua will continue to demand respect for the Charter of the United Nations, International Law, Sovereignty, Non-interference in the internal affairs of States, the inalienable right to Self-determination and, above all, the right of all Peoples to live in Peace.
